As a Malay, I'm very proud of my race and tradition, but as a Muslim, I have to abide by the rules in Quran that racism is totally prohibited.

It's true that in the birth of a nation after 1957 and Malaysia formation in 1963, the Malays and Bumiputras must be given priority to raise their status economically, academically to check and balance with non-Malays who was historically known as very high flier in economics, commerce and academics even using their own money.

I remember in the late 70s through the 80s, many Malay and Bumiputras were sent overseas to US/UK to further studies as part of the government policies to upgrade our status to high income people. Yes, there are success everywhere as we see many Malay and Bumiputra CEOS, Managers, Businesses as the product of US/UK/Japan universities.

But then ... why in the 21st century now, the non-Malays are still ahead in terms of economic management, big corporate management, private universities management etc.

So here we Malays must look into ourselves where the thing is going wrong.

I remember during my youth days in the late 70s, I'm looking for a material to buy at the Chinese hardware shop. But this shop didn't have this material that I'm looking for, but he said his friend's hardware shop next door have it.

Then I look for a simple item at a small Malay shop and as the thing is not on the shelve, the towkay said habis. He don't said a thing. I then went nextdoor Malays shop and the thing is there.

What I'm trying to say here is how the Chinese really help among themselves in businesses for the sake of Chinese communities. They help each other.

What about among Malay businesses. The competition in businesses is okay, but the power of network are loose. Not all, but some Malays still have perasaan hasad dengki and worst yet, they use "bomoh" to kill the fellow Malay businesses. And yet they are Muslims??? This simple example at the root level is still around in the mindset.

Statistically nowadays many Malays are successful businesses but the percentage power have to be increase higher and higher in all aspects.

Did Che Det once said " Melayu mudah lupa"?

I still remember in the early 1980s, many of my Malay friends were sent to US via scholarship awarded. My fellow Chinese friend also went overseas mostly to Australia or Canada, but fully funded by their parents (not towkay besar, but only small shop businesses owner or farmer ; maybe they ada main saham). See.... where they are now, my fellow Malay US graduates are mostly either Engineering Managers in big corporations etc but my Chinese friends overseas graduates are CEO of their own successful companies!!

In contrast, who is Najib? Is he the son of a poor farmer? or poor rubber tapper? I think he never pegang cangkul tanam sayur-sayuran or potong kayu tengah hutan, or tolong cuci pinggan mangkuk masa kenduri kahwin di kampung etc.

How about Che Det, at least he pernah rasa jual kuih during World War 2.

If a person never rasa susdah hidup how can he manage to understand the sudah hidup rakyat seharian????

Just my seposen.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3278896453863897915.post-61902934172296414282015-06-07T15:30:23.741+08:002015-06-07T15:30:23.741+08:00Saudara AA
