Want a change, but what and how to change?

UMNO is almost in oblivion in Selangor albeit all the big huha, claiming that BN was just on standby ready to topple Pakatan Rakyat in the state in the just concluded mother of all elections. The crash of BN in Selangor was unimaginable as the UMNO state liaison chairman was PM Najib himself. The absence of Selangor representatives in the Federal BN Cabinet announced by PM Najib yesterday reflects the notion that UMNO has given up all hopes to recuperate in Selangor.

The pricey defeat of BN in the nation's richest state would immobilize the party for at least another decade or until the real and leaders with consequence replaces the current set, which ever comes earlier. The Selangor voters courageously went all out against the power, command and supremacy of the Federal incumbency of Barisan Nasional. They managed to drive home a point that no one leader in the state can match Khalid Ibrahim's comparability in managing the state government to an optimum of competency and capability.

The absence of Noh Omar, one of the handful surviving Selangor BN Parliamentarians in the newly announced Federal Cabinet lineup is also a strong allusion that the state most senior leader should start counting his days in the Federal and State level politics. He is now measured as a spent force and can do no impairment to Tan Sri Khalid’s immovable and unbending existence in the state. Noh and his team is now compelled to own up their defective and malfunctioning leadership. Noh and gang has no merit to equate their capability with Khalid’s strong capacity as the CEO of this wealthiest state.

To add more injury to UMNO, a number of known recycled leaders are in the Federal Cabinet, among the many are Shahidan Kassim and Mahadzir Khalid. How on earth can UMNO keep abreast with the change of time? UMNO fails to realize that the party is managing people and human beings who have progressed miles ahead of UMNO leadership’s mental and moral capacity. To catch up with their pressing demands and needs UMNO has to transform for a total change. UMNO just refuses to change and even they want to, the party leaders and members in a similar way, do not know what and how to carry out the change.

Many take the inclusion of the current brand of leaders in the cabinet as an ‘insult’ to Malaysians who are still in the process of soul searching and this bigotry acts of the current leadership will help them to uncover the solution, ie to continue efforts to displace or replace the government with an alternative leadership.

UMNO and BN should realize that the muscle of federal incumbency can no longer hold them in power any longer. It looks like Selangor UMNO is now squatting quietly at a lonely corner licking its own wound after the heavy bashing by its opponent on the last 5th of May.

  1. Besides khairy and saifudin Abdullah there don't seem to be any young leaders who are there to bring about a change in umno Dahlan not too smart he pandai bodek and pandai tweet only But give him benefit of doubt maybe he do something in his new ministry

  3. Najib is facing enemies outside and within UMNO itself. Poor PM. If there is a house of flying daggers; Najib has got a house with hidden daggers as well.

Tuan AA you right about Shahidan & Mahadzir. These characters shouldnt be in the Cabinet. But what to do, Najib needs all these warlords in the coming UMNO elections.

He has got a lot to settle and apease every faction.

One thing he did right was putting Khairy in. Thats a big step in marking his throne at the risk of infuriating Dr M. But M should be happy as his son is MB Kedah. So there is a lot to be seen in the next few months.

In the areas of Education, Home Affairs & Defence, theres only one description...."The Three Stooges".
Really, these three jokers are going to lead us to no where. Their past 'achievements' justify the above.

Lets also not forget the govt agencies ie Felda, SPAD, Risda etc. Putting Isa & Thamby Chik and Syed Hamid.

    Gosh...

  4. The Opposition Parties in particular Pakatan Rakyat are attracting and fielding young highly qualified slate of individuals as candidates .All those candidates were on par with Recycled Old Brats of BN in terms of their credentials and qualities which attracted the new young voters. Just wait for PRU 14,there will be definitely be ATrue Change in the Government IN TRENGGANU ,PERAK , SABAH , PAHANG , NEGRI SEMBILAN AND JOHORE.REAL TIME FOR BN TO BE IN THE OPPOSITION BENCH.

  7. Sir, and if I may add my 2cents; the new line up seems to point to "wooing back" as well as rubbing tun's nose in it.
The Khairy factor to win the young Malays, the Mary factor to woo the Christians, the Waytha factor to woo the Indians and the unconventional Paul Low factor to woo the Chinese.
The heavy presence of the East Malaysian factor seems focused on safe guarding our richest natural resource states....the golden geese if you like.

Everybody else is to strengthen fortress Najib against the next umno warlord meeting, the rabid Perkasa and their patron who is momentarily distracted and revelling in the success of his offspring's title. We know the sly tun will not rest on his laurels for long............

In the meantimeI believe PR has to take stock and re-group. PAS old guard are licking their wounds but making way for the younger generals. DAP has unveiled the next generation of fighters. PKR young champs Rafizi and Nurul are somewhat restrained from forging ahead while the old guard still insist on leading. Herein lies the failing. I see opportunity to use the Rafizis and Nuruls to secure the young voters and counter the Khairy factor.
You are on the mark about Khairy. He is indeed the man to watch. But his impact could be curtailed by upset umno warlords.

    Interesting times ahead.

KJ ,is way way way ahead in time for umno,He can equally match dap young educated and progressive Mps but is hindered by the umno culture .
Damn Tun must keep out of the affairs of state.
Bigdog and gang just layoff KJ and let him be to do his stuff and go change the soiled napkins of daddy's pup in kedah.
Waytha moorthy Is a very wrong choice.
Najib oh najib MUST think out of the box Not the decaying umno culture. Will najib appoint Mps from PR as ministers.WE the the creame of the creame in PR.Dr.zul,husam,tony pua, rafizi, nurul, hannah yeoh ,and a whole lot of them are super smart.
Get dpm out of education .Please lah !

  11. Dear Aspan,

How najib want to change anything especially when he in a process being change by his own party members. The umno grassroots really disappointed with him and he aware about this. That's why najib seems keep his 1Malaysia motto inside rosmah's handbag. Sound racist but majority UMNO member unhappy with najib's love show with chinese voters before election.

  12. sory aspan,

    khairy sorang jer...
its like looking for needle in a haystack...

kerana nila setitik , rosak susu sebelanga... in this case, khairy adalah satu titik susu masuk dalam satu belanga Nila...

kalau kain putih cuci dalam bekas air kotor, akan bertambah kotor la baju tu...

Khairy will be no impact... we look at policy, manifesto and governance... BN is already KO, sustained by crook umpires..

    Jangan menentang arus perubahan....

BN masih tendang gol sendiri lepas 'menang'... Apa Cina mau, extremis2 baru keluar dari kehakiman lepas Perkasa mati, IGP baru akan jadi sama teruk macam musa hassan dulu...

  13. A fair and transparent government system will eliminate discretionary power/decisions which create confusion, division, uncertainty, abuse, injustice and etc.

The present system is beneficial to those in position of power, trust and influence to abuse and manipulate for narrow and self interest....thus the strong resistant to change in the best interest of ordinary people.

  14. Aspan,
Since PKR NS disarray & PAS NS powerless, time to engage top leaders such as Anthony Loke to work on plans to reconquer NS. Time to ask PAS & PKR NS to step aside & let DAP to take lead
I am extremely happy if you can take a lead since you are a Kuala Pilah boy. I understand you are based in Subang but selangor is fully entrenched with Pakatan now. I believe LKS would give you the full blessing.
I envisage that DAP can contest at least 12 - 15 state seats & 3 parliamentary. In fact, DAP can contest 5 NS parliamentary seats
