Najib pemimpin 'spent -force'

Dalam ilmu pengurusan ada disebut, ‘we must understand the real problems up to specific even before we think how to solve it’.

If there is leadership change, wipe off the corrupt culture instantaneously

As I have been repeatedly saying, the evils that rule us presently will be followed by good consequences. When great evils occur great good shall follow. This can’t be explained by science. We will be in the state of disillusionment to the extent that is no more space and hope for worthy future. We are at the lowest ebb as the government leaders are not up to the class of the cabinet under the first three PMs of the country.

UMNO during the three PMs were the group that learnt a lot from UMNO and they were the nearest to the mentality of the first world. They were responsible and they had only the country and the people that they think of. UMNO made them in the class of their own. There were many of the cabinet members who were not having tertiary education but the party made them to be real and true leaders of an independent nation with honor and integrity. The people then were so self-assured that they could rely on their leaders to lean on for hope and faith of their future.

The leaders then were reliable that we could take their words as our bond. In short the Perikatan which then changed to BN during the 1974 general election were truly inclusive and were more magnanimous in nature. UMNO especially were the real leader for all races and we didn’t have many problems with the inter-racial and inter-religious affiliations. Some UMNO or Malays leaders were admittedly were naughty but they didn’t walk on the Quran. Corruption were negligible and the PM as well as the Ministers were not involved in awarding big contracts of ruled the country like communist state with power centralized to the PM’s office like we observe today.

Projects awarded were all the ones that were needed by the people and the crony motivated projects were unheard of during those good old days. We like British government where the PM was not involved in awarding contract to businessmen/women. Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and even David Cameron don’t talk about projects as development projects were decided by unswerving civil servants and there was no failure in implementing projects by the government ever since.

Malaysia was so near to that kind of government. Leaders were not using the development project to systematically steal money and create their wealth through ill-gotten means. Direct negotiations and expressed mega projects were very fertile soil for corrupt culture to prevail and usually these projects awarded were classified as government secret under the Official Secret Act (OSA) that was legislated by Parliament. Corruptions were covered tightly by OSA and the corrupt activities were vigorous under cover of the act without disturbances.

This was how the corrupt culture were cultivated and from then on we observe the culture of over-priced negotiated and expressed projects by two hundred percent or more were awarded open handedly without shame and disgrace. True, we had the projects organically, but the question was, ‘at what costs’?

That culture is still thickening in our system of administrations. That was why we see a Prime Minister making decisions over 1MDB as an example. Prime Minister was supposed to oversee the running of 1MDB was appropriate and let the professional manage it. However the PM hijacks the management from the appointed executives and the Board and as 1MDB come to this state of affairs the PM can’t question the board and the executives as he himself was the man behind all the dubious decisions made by the government investment arm.

Hence it’s always fair to let the rakyat oversee what the PM was doing with 1MDB. The PM has lost all moral to oversee 1MDB as he was the man in question on all the mismanagement of 1MDB. As I have said earlier in this article the leaders under the first three PMs were not all with tertiary education but they became good because of the purity of UMNO.

Right now we have loads of tertiary educated leaders and graduates of renowned university in the world but they were spoilt by the current UMNO degrading culture. Obviously the disease that UMNO is suffering is very contagious. Almost all highly educated leaders in UMNO become injudicious because of the ill cultured leadership in UMNO.

This is the issues that the new government should focus on if the changes really happen. We are irascibly waiting for the moment.

Dr Mahathir resigned thirteen years ago, only Najib has not done so

The blame games are going on among the supporters of Najib and Dr Mahathir’s. In recent days the Najib’s camp is coming up with new defense for the problematic PM by arguing that Mahathir was no different than Najib. It was a normal sight watching leaders during Dr Mahathir’s era enjoying life with oversized houses and flashy cars that would not be within their reach if they were not leaders of Mahathir’s Cabinet and high positioned UMNO leaders and all cronies that lingered around the longest serving PM.

One of Najib’s blind foot-soldiers, Salleh Keruak is going further by saying that if lavishness is equated to corruption than Dr Mahathir himself should be charged for corruption. He says that Mahathir is living beyond the means of a former PM as he is living in lavishness with expensive jet setting even after he retires from the premiership. He never travels in ordinary commercial flights locally and internationally like his predecessors The Tunku and Hussein Onn in their retirement.

Hence to Najib’s supporters they ‘okayed’ Najib’s expensive living as he learns the expensive living from his mentor Dr Mahathir and not from anyone else. To Najib’s supporters committing two wrongs will make one right. Let the country be thrown to trash as there is nothing wrong to what Najib is doing now. They say Najib is just harvesting what Dr Mahathir sows while in power. “Mahathir too was like Najib” they say.

Surely this is the worthless argument that comes from Najib’s camp. The country needs changes as Najib is rotting the country to the core. The bone of the contention now is the need to save the country from devastation. Najib has to go, and to blame Dr Mahathir for his embezzlement of the country is not easy to digest. We are not talking about who is more corrupt than the other. This time of the moment the country is on the way to destruction and the current sitting PM is compelled to go without deferral.

Najib can’t be loitering around in Putrajaya just because he claims that Dr Mahathir was equally responsible for the current illimitable political severances. We should cease blaming anybody for the wrongs that we commit. The fact remains that without any change that we in dire need we are heading for political catastrophes. So Najib has to go, if possible instantaneously.

We don’t need to be highly intelligent to believe Najib’s impotency in solving the country’s economic agonies but he insists to stay on as the PM. I am certain that he is clueless in finding the solutions to the country’s economic bereavements. That is truly a thoughtless, fraudulent and dissembling leader for us to lean on for our future.

Forget about attempts to focus historical records on Dr Mahathir. Najib has to go to save the country from the prolonged political disenchantments that he is responsible for. Dr Mahathir has already resigned thirteen years ago. Najib has to take his turn to quit just like Mahathir did.

It's pointless for Najib's camp to bring up Mahathir's issue as Najib is the cause of pain for the country presently. Someone is now in the center of media alleging Mahathir was causing more losses than 1MDB.

Are we now competing on who can cause more losses for the country? Is this was the reason why Najib is still hanging to power as he thinks he has not done enough damage yet to the country?

1MDB and the 'donation' issues are just the immediate causes, we have more reasons to change

Many alarmed Malaysians were asking why Dr Mahathir was interrogated by the police over his loud criticism on 1MDB and the state of corrupt practices in the government and among the ruling leaders. Among the leaders who were out to comment on the questioning of Dr Mahathir was Anwar Ibrahim himself. He made the statement calling for the authority to stop questioning Dr Mahathir from the prison cell through his lawyer that was issued yesterday to the media.

Anwar insists that the Najib administration should answer the questions posed by Dr Mahathir, not to question him with all kinds of pretexts by exhausting all kinds of acts and laws that suit to suppress the deafening voices of discontent among the general public against the government and the anarchic Prime Minister.  Anwar says the Dr Mahathir was not committing any crime and if the authority takes Dr Mahathir’s criticism on the government and leadership as a crime than the rights of the people to question the government is in grave danger.

It was Najib’s conduct and clear weaknesses that create the criticism against him from most Malaysian and Mahathir was just one of the millions who were not pleased with his performances and personal conduct. If Mahathir retires from criticizing Najib there will be many others coming to the fore to do just what Mahathir was doing.

Let’s take the occasion to do some brief deliberation and pondering on issues mounted by Dr Mahathir and the general public at large. Are we just wanted to find solutions to 1MDB and the ‘donation’ of RM 2.6 billion solved? Do we see other serious issues that surround the government and leadership that peddle the country backward and turn the country less democratic and a government which is decelerating in every other turf and arena of a reasonable good government?

The 1MDB issue and the ‘donation’ are not going to be solved. If there were chances of solving the issues, it should have happened months ago. However until now the issues have never been solved as the authority has displaced and disturbed the investigation team and the team has never been able to function efficiently.

Even if the issues of 1MDB and massive money laundering by Najib had not surfaced there were still earnestness to obligate drastic changes in the country. As I have said repeatedly the country has to restart all over again. We need new planning for the future of the country and this is what we are completely deficient presently. When we agree that we need new comprehensive plans for the country, we need an astute and dignified planner to head the government.

Right now we are facing huge deficit of leaders with the aptitudes of good and strong familiarity of planning for the nation’s growth as a whole to cope up with the demands of time. Our ultimate of achieving the national unity through strong and successful processes of economic and social reengineering policies fail absolutely. We are still divagating and wandering wildly and consequentially we are parting further from our ultimate goal of achieving united Malaysians with strong motivation to build the nation together to greater heights

The issues surrounding the 1MDB and the huge personal ‘donation’ with the secondary issues like displacing the investigation team and the sacking of Attorney General and his replacement with controversial Appandi were just the immediate causes for the pressure for the PM to go. As it was we were already stuck with the flawed implementations of the policies that have been formulated for the country. Most of the implementations of policies that we have agreed were not executed appropriately as the governments have been deviating from the objectives of the policies.

We didn’t follow the policies strictly and what were decided mostly were resolutions that were ad hoc and impulsive in nature. Thus let us be conclusive that leaders who are not planners will never appreciate that unbendable plans must be adhered strictly so as the rakyat know what we have and we are going to have be noticed visibly at least for the following foreseeable future.

That was the very reason why this blog has always and repeatedly emphasizing the need of a new leader and that new leader must be a planner in attribute and astute in his stature as a leader to lead this nation forward to build the nation on passage of growth together with other nations who have proven that proper planning and its implementations flawlessly executed is the only manner for any country to progress without difficulties.

Rakyat seperti hamba abdi pemimpin sahaja

Corrupt addiction is far more devastating than cigarette addiction

Few years of late we have been going through the withdrawing of all subsidies that we used to relish with. Paralleled to withdrawal of subsidies we have been taxed left and right and so far we have never recovered from the pains of the high cost of living which shoots up sharply especially within this year of 2015.

Today we are lumped with another hefty increase of cigarette prices. On average all cigarette prices have increased by 40 percent, a shockingly high increase at one shot.  Whilst some agree to the high increase of the item, some others who are smokers feel that the jump is too high for the moment. We can expediently use the health reason for the increase but this was not done for health reason. It is simply another way of taxing the people to increase the revenue of the government, not to reduce the smoking addiction among the people.

There is another addiction that the government should look into to avoid wastage of the public’s money i.e. corrupt addiction among the government leaders and some law makers. Corruption is a real devastating addiction as that pulls down the country to ashes in time to come. We are now suffering from the massive and unmitigated corrupt addiction among the leaders of the nation and that has put the country among the most corrupt nations in the world. Malaysia is known for this heinous culture that needs to be mitigated as soon as possible.

As I have written a few times for the past months, leaders especially the Prime Minister has not been resourceful enough to source revenue for the country from other sources other than taxing the people. The people are already taxed with heavy cost of living and the taxes and duties never end. It only implies to us that our leaders are too dependent on the ordinary public, like us to solve the nation’s financial anguishes which some were self-inflicted by corrupt and capricious leaders that we have.

Certainly the corrupt culture of the government costs the nation expensively and if that corrupt practices are dealt with appropriately I am quite certain that the money stashed away from the public could have been used for other good causes. Maybe the government may not have to tax the cigarette smokers that high like it was done today.
