Zaid Ibrahim will be the victor and Hulu Selangor will have strong voice in Parliament as from tomorrow.
I am not a fortune teller but based on my intuition with some basic scientific and technical observation Zaid will clinch victory with more than 2500 votes over Kamalanathan.
My friends from BN camp who had coffee and tea with me today begged to differ but that was just my opinion and it may be wrong, even though deep in me I feel that is the actual truth to happen.
Some other friends close to me in BN common Center talked to me over the cell phone and e-mails agreed with me without exertion.
They say that they are not competent enough to compete with PAS machinery who works in full steam, while they in the common center spent too much time loitering around without organic result.
They have MBs, Ministers and big leaders but they are not on the ground except for a few like TS Isa Samad. They said that the campaigners from NS performed reasonably well under Isa Samad and that is the consolation point for BN workers.
The big Pakatan rally in mini stadium in KKB attracted not less than 50000 strong crowd of which estimated slightly more than 20000 were voters. It was noticeable that the crowd were engrossed with speeches of Tok Guru Nik Aziz, Lim Guan Eng, TS Khalid Ibrahim and others.
I don’t know how big was the crowd with Dr Mahathir and Najib last night but the figure at the mini stadium in KKB can let them compare and calculate the percentage of moral support over there with those big leaders.
Now the campaign period is over and it is time for the voters to exercise their democratic rights fairly in actual sense of democracy.
No matter what comes by let it is all secretive, as much as possible. The quarreling parties should cease to admonish any side from now on.
The democracy is taking place and now is going to be over by 5 pm today. Let all gone be bygone with no harboring of hatred feelings among everyone involved in this by election campaigning process.
Even though we are still miles away to reach democracy of Westminster Abbey, but that is the best that Malaysian democracy can show.
Not that bad after all but there are still ample room for improvement.
To the voters of Hulu Selangor I wish them all the best. Think seriously before casting the vote and appreciate that someone has got to win and the other has got to loose.
That is why we call it an ELECTION.
